I won this book and was really excited and then got it and realised it was the third in a series. I can't start the middle of the series, so had to go and buy the first too. I'm so glad I did, as this is an excellent series. Great character development so far, with the main character and the lesser ones being subtly developed as you progress through the books.
The first two were good thrillers, this one is excellent, you are on the edge of your seat until the end and then there is still a last minute twist that you don't see coming at all.
The series is based where I live and I have enjoyed knowing exactly where the action is taking place.
Definitely give this series a go - gritty, real detective work with great characters.
