First off, I don't like or read police procedurals! I have read them in the past, but I tend to prefer books where the protagonist is directly involved in the conflict/mystery etc. However, I really enjoyed the police angle of this one - I do think that it added a different layer of intrigue as I felt as though I was working through the clues along with the investigator!
The characterization was well done - none of the characters were too effective, but they did grow and did have an impact on the story!
The plot, overall, was well done too! There were lots of twists and turns throughout and I'm super impressed as to how this was carried out. Although the ending was slightly predictable for me, it was super enjoyable!
