This is the 1st book I have read by this author and it will not be the last. From the minute I picked it up I was hooked and it took me about 24 hours to read it - mainly because life got in the way.
The style of writing is brilliant with the chapters not pages long the plot flowed along and kept you hooked at each page.
The characters were fantastic - Daisy was brilliant so calm and grown up with all the pain and heartache she had gone through, with Poppy and Ellie reacting differently. The emotional ties to the adults and 'parents' was at times frustrating as you could understand the fear of the children and wanting the police to move quicker but appreciate the reasons they didn't.....The plot at the end was a shocker and by the time I finished I wasn't sure how I felt about the adults in the book - who is right/who is wrong. It makes you question what people say when they are put under pressure.
The way this whole book was written was gripping, intense, captivating and emotional.. Definitely recommend this book and author and already have done several times.
