Twists and turns.
The book started off getting straight into the hard hitting stuff which piqued my interest. I was instantly caught up in the character especially Malcolm and what his and Harriet's story was. The plot flowed well and I rarely felt that there was a lull in the story. As someone who has not read the previous 3 books I could of had more of an insight into Cody's background as it was hinted at a lot in this. I enjoyed the pace of the plot however there are some characters who appeared and disappeared without much explanation. As I got towards the end of the book, the pace increased rapidly and I found my self racing through as I desperately wanted to find out what was going to happen. I was not prepared for the major twist at the end. I will definitely be reading the previous books and if there is another released then I look forward to that.
