I had this marked in my Goodreads for over a year before I was finally able to read it. The start grips you and you can picture every detail as described, it’s terrifying. The plot does move quite slowly through the middle and it’s frustrating both trying to work out what’s happening and which direction the story is going in. The end however is good, makes sense and ties everything up, which made the book an all round 4 star for me. It’s one I would recommend to people looking for a psychological thriller, even if it’s not the book personally the best book of the year. It’s written well and has all the usual elements of suspense, well constructed characters and a setting you can picture and place yourself in.
