"Dr. Alex Taylor wakes up tied to an operating table. The man who stands over her isn't a doctor.
But when Alex re-awakens, she's unharmed - and no one believes her horrifying story, they think she was just hit by a falling branch, because she was found in the hospital car park knocked out, but relatively unharmed. Ostracised by her colleagues, her family and her partner, she begins to wonder if she really is losing her mind. And then she meets the next victim and the madness continues."

This was an utterly compelling gripping read that I could not put down. I was so involved with Dr. Alex Taylor and totally believed her, but could completely understand why no one else would, as the perpetrator was so evil and so clever and tied everyone's mine (including mine) up in knots.

I had an inkling of who was tormenting her, but could not work out how or why until the end of the book, which was so fast paced that after I had read the last chapter I had to go back and read it again just to get my head around it.

The only bit I was not comfortable with was the unnecessary demise of Dylan the rat.

For a first novel, so well written and obviously well researched and I can't wait to read her next one.
