I picked this up on a recommendation for a reading challenge (read a medical thriller).
I found this book fairly average. I really wanted more and felt really let down by the ending. As it was needed to fit a prompt, I had to finish it. Lesson learnt!
It was a really interesting idea- waking up to find that you are incapacitated and waking up an a hospital operating theatre with all the smells and noises. This would be anybody’s worst nightmare (it is mine). There are hooks dotted throughout but they didn’t really grip me the way other thrillers do/did.
I gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Because there were times when I did want to find out what was big on. Other times I just wanted to rush through. Like most thrillers the ending is where the judgment is given and this just didn’t hit it off with me. An average book which could have so so so so so much more.
