They say a book should capture your attention within the first few pages, well, this book had me captured and strapped down. It's the kind of introduction to a story where the world could collapse around you and you wouldn't realise.
The book is written from the POV of a young doctor who claims to have experienced a horrific trauma after being kidnapped, but with no evidence of it happening the staff around her (as well as the reader) struggle to ascertain wether it was all just her imagination. The writing style is easy to read, with any medical procedures that happen subtly explained so that the reader isn't alienated. The actions of the other characters and the dialogue is realistic and believable.
Definitely one to raise the heart rate and keep you on your toes, cannot wait to read more!
