Don't Wake Up is the first novel by Liz Lawler.
It is a page turning or finger clicking thriller based around the concept of he main character waking up on an operating theatre bed and being faced with someone who isn't a doctor and makes both a threat and an unspeakable offer.
The book then follows the "patient" as nobody, boyfriend, police etc, believe what has happened to her.
The book keeps moving at quite a pace and gets you thinking about what will happen next as the twists and turns keeping coming at you.
The book is well written and hopefully future books by this first time author will be as good.
