The illustrations are wonderful, and amply illuminate the concept of animals going to sleep peacefully in their nests or beds. Children will relate to these animals, colourful and simple and relaxing. The purpose of the book is to bring awareness and peace to children - which is laudable, but probably not so easy to do if you are a tired, harassed parent who is trying to get the children to sleep so that you can get on with the ironing, cleaning, mending, and even have some time for yourself. However, it would be good to use this book to try to bring some calm into the fast pace of life and gently bring the children into a peaceful sleep.
