This would be a great book to read to young...and not so young children at bedtime when sleep just isn't coming. I enjoyed reading the introduction from the author about her hopes for the book, and tips for getting children to settle and be a bit more mindful.
The story is written in a lovely calming style and is perfect for reading aloud at a slow rhythmical pace.
The illustrations of the animals are cute, and compliment the words really well. I think children would enjoy picking their favourite animals and copying whatever thoughts and actions helps them to fall asleep.
When my children were younger I would have enjoyed reading this book to them, and I think it will appeal to parents as well as children
