Myself, my other half and little boy all love this book. Firstly, cover and illustrations are just beautiful, we all love admiring them. The gentle story following the river to the sea with an animal on each page is lovely. My only suggestion would be perhaps it would be nice to have an introductory page e.g. 'let's go down the sleepy river and say goodnight' or something similar to really make the journey explicit for young readers. The text has a nice rhythm for reading aloud - it would be perfect for a children's audio book or animated story. The early introduction to mindfulness and meditative breath is great for children. It's become our nightly bedtime story (it calms us all after a long day!) and I plan to buy further copies as gifts for the other little people in our lives. Fantastic picture book just perfect for bedtime stories.
