This was a very sweet read for a toddler.
I read it and then gave it to my cousin, who is three and he was transfixed by all the animals and he really concentrated on the words, and it really did seem to give him a sense of calm and he chatted about the animals in the pictures and sat through to the end of the book and he has a lack of concentration.
I think this will be a regular read and used a lot at bedtime.
As for the book itself it had very vibrant, bold colours and lovely wild animals to grab children's attention.
Also the repetitive stress on the breathing in and out aspect gave a sense of tranquility and a little repetition to remind the reader to focus on the story and what was going on.
This was a brilliant read for young children and a great read aloud, communal experience.
Really lovely to see picture books put up as an option to review as it really gets kids involved too.
