I read this book with my 5 year old son and we both enjoyed it. He liked the beautiful illustrations, the seals were his favourite apparently. We both enjoyed spending time looking at each page and spotting the animals in their natural habitat. Some of the animals are by themselves and some with their babies.
The book features a different animal on each double page spread. The animal is settling down to sleep for the night. I would imagine that reading this at bedtime with your child would encourage your child to relax and get ready to sleep.
I liked the note at the front of the book explaining how to use the book with your child to promote mindfulness.
There isn't too much text on each page. Generally it's 3 sentences so short enough to hold your child's attention nd quick enough to read at bedtime. I would recommend this book for a child who is aged 4-6.
