Down the sleepy river Is a beautifully written and illustrated book. I read this book to my 18 month old before she went to sleep and I loved the repetitiveness of the book and the relaxing feel to it. We have read this story a few times it is beautiful and it’s definitely a book for bedtime it relaxes my little one and the story as well as the illustrations are beautiful. It’s an author we will look out for in the future. My 7 year old read the story to himself and he said it’s a good story to read before bed after a busy day. I would highly recommend this story especially if you have children who find bedtimes difficult. I will be purchasing this book for Christmas presents and also donating a few copies to the library. Absolutely brilliant! My daughter engaged and turned the pages and we played a spotting game throughout to see what we can spot my 7 year old could spot a lot of things.
