The excellent writing transported me straight away into the lives of Richard and Karina - though it didn't feel like an enjoyable place to be, and I found both characters unsympathetic. The cover has a clean feel to it and I am intrigued by the small birds under the musical bars and left wondering what their significance might be. However the only thing that would really entice me to read on is the mention of finding harmony in the blurb, as this gives some hope of a more uplifting story to come.
