A Sad Song
I didn't know much about ALS before reading this and that was one of the reasons I wanted to read this. I'm so glad that I picked this up because it was just a book that should be read.
When I had started this, I wasn't really a huge fan of Karina or Richard and even though I still don't like them at the end...I'd gotten attached to who they were. They were both flawed characters and both characters that I didn't personally like but I grew so attached to them and felt so bad for them. This book made me really sad while reading this and I'm only glad that I was reading (or listening to technically) some lighter reads at the same time because I don't think anybody should just read this. It is heartbreaking to read about the day to day struggles of Richard and how ALS impacted him and Karina.
