This is a great read but it is also heartbreaking. It is a story about a man, Richard, who has been diagnosed with ALS. It follows his journey following his diagnosis, throughout all the changes his body makes. It deals with his loss, both physically because of the ALS but also emotionally because of his diagnosis but also that with his career, his ex-wife and daughter.
Richard's ex-wife, Karina, is also dealing with a loss, that of the life she gave up many years ago for her husband. She blames him for the way her life has turned out.
