This book followed the life of a divorced couple when the husband, a world famous musician, gets ALS and his ex wife agrees to look after him.
The book was a very difficult read, which is to be expected with the subject matter but I just found I didn't like either of the main characters so couldn't not connect to the book. I also found that the story really dragged.
However I did think that the book really highlight the struggles on a family when someone is diagnosed with this condition and made me much more aware of what happens and how quickly it progresses.
I am sure that for some people this will have been a 5* read and it did educate me about the medical condition but as a story it just did not hit the mark for me.
