Exile is a great follow on from James Swallow novel Nomad where we first met Marc Dane.
In this novel we get to know the Rubicon team better and also see relationships move forward for certain characters which was nice to see in between everything that goes on.
Throughout this novel you get a real insight into Mark and how he thinks but also how he attempts not only stay within the limits of the law but also to do his duty to Rubicon.
The writing style of James Swallow is engaging throughout, it allows the readers to keep track of all the events and different people without it getting confusing. It draws you into a world of gangs and crime and it really does have something for everyone.
This is becoming such a good series and I look forward to seeing what else James Swallow brings of Mark Dane.
