I love Karin Slaughter so I couldn't resist a glimpse at her latest standalone!
Her books are always skin-crawlingly dark and heart-achingly disturbing, but she creates such brilliant and engaging characters that you feel instantly connected to the horrors that you encounter.
Just like her other books, this one begins with a tense and unnerving opening chapter that urges you to keep on reading. Only this time, I can't! I need to carry on to see how this story progresses.
I'm already gripped and I'm desperate to see how the legal/courtroom side of the story comes into it and to find out what happens to Callie next.
Slaughter never fails me and I look forward to seeing how gritty, sleazy and violent this one gets, and to see how these women [hopefully] get their justice.
