Like Mary's little lamb this reviewer is relentlessly drawn to the Slaughter. The author's name is synonymous with grisly intrigue.
And this opener into her latest offering is yet another magnificent machination.
The devil is in the detail -- and that is yet to come as we have yet to meet the main player which the cover notes promises.
But we are introduced to the embattled Carrie whose partner is a sexual voyeur, secretly recording their more intimate moments to sell on for devious gain.
It can only get better and better.
