The cover and authors name give you expectations which are more than met in the first chapter. My first impression of the main character Callie was that she was an oppressed wife with a child and a drinking problem. That so changed with the arrival of the child’s father and the horrific situation became clear and deadly. The pace and intensity increased and I want to see what happens next. The intrigue increases when, reading the summary, you realise that Callie is not the main character but her sister. Seat belt on, I can’t wait to see what else is to be revealed!
