The book cover is haunting but telling at the same time. The insinuation from the lightbulb that the truth will prevail and be exposed just makes me want to keep reading on and find out what truly happened.
The first chapters did nothing but heavily reinforce that feeling! The ominous nature of the mundane life of Callie in the introduction made me sit on the edge of my seat. The subtle references to danger and fear hooked my attention and when I finally reached the sudden change in tone, it all made sense but also none at all.
