After finishing reading the first 22 pages it’s clear that the beginnings of good thriller have begun. It’s starts off with what you would expect from any thriller, potentially alcoholic woman, looking after a misbehaving child, awaiting the husbands return from work. A prose we’ve all read before. Yet, there’s a twist in the first chapter which has you hooked! It’s not your classic alcoholic, depressed wife in an unhappy marriage! I can’t wait to continue this read, as an avid Karin Slaughter fan, this has promise from the first pages. The cover is also interesting, the blood splatter on the lightbulb....sometimes you should judge a book by it’s cover when it’s as interesting as the beginnings of False Witness.
