I love a thriller, and am partial to the odd Karin Slaughter book...
This first impression was enjoyable from the off when we meet Callie and Trevor, who you warm to (despite what happens by the end of the chapter - Buddy was instantly dislikable). It would be interesting to read on and find out how this opener ties into the actual story that is described in the blurb. I like the cover - it looks like a Karin Slaughter book at first glance.
