I've never read anything by Karin Slaughter, but I've always wanted to try her books!
The opening chapter to 'False Witness' was incredibly dark, and I imagine it could be triggering for some people. BUT... I immediately want to read on!
We're only introduced to Callie, Trevor and Buddy at this stage, so I'm intrigued to see how the other characters are introduced and woven into the storyline.
I'm not mad on long chapters like this, but I enjoyed the writing style and the balance between description and dialogue.
