What an opening to a book. The blurb gave nothing away for what I would read in this first impression, and I am certainly glad. This book should come with a major trigger warning for the onset abuse the female lead gets in the first chapter. Those final couple of lines are the ultimate cliffhanger to make me want to read more. I hope that chapter ends the way I hoped it would!
