I'm so intrigued about this book - I haven't read any Karin Slaughter before but this looks great. It does leave it on quite the cliffhanger though - what happens to Callie? Buddy is awful and the child also seems quite sinister. I now want to know what happens in the present day and how the past links to this - the blurb suggests Callie is important. I love the idea of the dual timeline and the past having an impact on a present case.
