This book doesn’t mess around it throws you right into the drama of a horrific incident that sets the novel up for a dark and sometimes explicit but definitely gripping read. This book is seriously brutal and hard hitting. Its brilliantly written and addictive. It’s a fast paced intense storyline. Alongside the well plotted storyline are really well thought out characters, which make it for me one of the best thrillers I’ve read for a while. What this book also manages to very cleverly do alongside being a cracking good thriller is also give a very realistic social commentary on life in America particularly during the pandemic which in itself is fascinating as a backdrop to the story but also helps give the story its chilling edge and dark atmosphere. This is only the second book I’ve read by this author but after reading this she will definitely be a go to for me.
