Karin Slaughter never disappoints and this was a rollercoaster of a read. The first chapter sets the book up really well and instantly hooks the reader. The relationship between the sisters was so real and relatable how they would do anything for each other but also rarely saw eye to eye. I also really enjoyed the contrast between the evil Buddy and Andrew and the wonderful Walter. This is a great story about good versus evil but also how an act of evil doesn't necessarily make the perpetrator the bad guy.

The writing is graphic so this is perhaps not for the squeamish but it helps this book play out like a movie in your head. Such vivid descriptions and gripping relationships meant I found this difficult to put down. The ending works really well and feels very fitting. Thanks to Readers First for giving me an ARC in return for my honest review.
