I have enjoyed a number of Karin Slaughter’s previous novels so I was really excited to read this one.
This book was very well paced and written. I felt that the storyline was strong and kept me guessing until the end, which is a vital part of this genre in my opinion. The suspenseful narrative was expertly crafted (as always) and it kept me on the edge of my seat until I had finished the whole book.
The novel had really interesting and well developed characters, which I think is something that can be missing in many crime books. It keeps you interested in the story and the fate of those involved. The language and structure was also really good and there was no opportunity to get bored when racing through this story!
This is definitely a worthwhile read for fans of the author and of the crime thriller genre in general. I am looking forward to the next one!
