I absolutely love Karin slaughter books and this did not disappoint with ongoing crime suspense, twists and turns in the plot.
I was gripped from the start, I like how each character was slowly built from there background to personality and how they in twined. Which was really enticing to keep reading and unfold the story, you couldn’t help like them despite all their flaws.
The book goes through a range of topics from abuse, addiction to complex family relationships and dynamics which really portrays some of the issues and experiences of life.
There was some COVID pandemic included as part was in the current time which made it more realistic and highlighted some of the issues experienced making it more relatable.
It was a really violent, gritty and detailed packed read. The book is fabulous and I would definitely recommend it to read to anyone.
