I absolutely loved this book I had never heard of the author Karin slaughter but this was the first book I had ever read in this genre and I fell in love with it from the first line. i was so surprised to see that she had written about the current times and that the main characters had had covid and what the effects could be of it but also not going into too much detail.
The writing style is quite easy to read but was hard to follow for a few pages but you soon get in the swing of it. It’s interesting to read particularly for the interplay of the different characters and the development of the story and the flashbacks chapters that go into more depth about the main characters past and how they had gotten to where they are today and how they have dealt with it and decided to move forward from the trauma of the events.
its is also so sweet to see in this type of genre that the sister still look out for one another.
