I loved this new book from Karin Slaughter. Having read her previous book I knew I was delving into another deep dark thriller. And False Witness did not disappoint.
Leigh and Callie are the two sisters in the story and like in her previous novels the author has written main characters that you can root for. As mentioned in my title this is not for the faint hearted, so many disturbing themes are covered.
The clever thing about this book is that it is set in a time where we have experienced covid-19. There is the mention of masks and sanitizers which has pretty much become our norm for the last 2 years. So it is interesting to see this in a book this early. It makes the book feel a little more real and relateable to the current times.
Overall this is a Karin Slaughter knockout and anyone who enjoys a disturbing twisted thriller will enjoy this book. Highly recommended for existing fans of Karin Slaughter.
