As an avid karin slaughter fan I can normally read one of her books in a day or two but this had me beat on more than one occasion. Started fantastic with the main characters and there secret out there for the reader. But slow to grab my attention and I had to keep making myself return to the book over several weeks. I still needed to know where the story was going but not in a rush. The incident centered in the book was repeated a lot throughout the book and it felt like you were just reading the samevthing again and again. Slightly predictable and the characters seem to be weak. I was so disappointed with this book as karins usually so above most over crime writers. The sisters in the book didn't seem believable and the while plot just didn't sit right. As a new stand alone book it must be hard to move on from strong characters to whole new ones but I myself wish this had been her normal characters
