I absolutely loved this book! The author Karin Slaughter is able to set the scene and the writing is easy to read and follow. Karin is an excellent teller of stories. The main character Leigh Collier has worked hard for her career as a lawyer. In her past there is a secret, involving her sister who she is estranged from, and she is asked to defend a man connected with this...who implies he will reveal all if she is not successful. The book throws up lots of questions and keeps you guessing...is the man guilty or not? Will he really reveal all? ...The book is a tense thriller and keeps you on the edge of your seat! As well as the main story there is the dysfunctional family and blackmail, this book truly has it all. I would definitely recommend this book to others however there are parts that are graphic in description and this may not suit everyone.
