I think because the sample was so small there wasn't much opportunity to see where the story would lead.
The illustrations were colourful and I liked the Grandmother's patois.
I'm not the target audience and I don't have children (I joined ReadersFirst for adult books) but it seems fine and I am sure kids will like it.
