First of all I just need to say I love the illustrations in this book, they're stunning. They're so fun and colourful and if I was a child this would definitely be one of my favourite books just for the drawings. The story looks really heartfelt and sweet about the little boy just wanting to be a cook, even as he keeps getting dismissed by the mother.
