A lovely book that provides children
with an easy introduction to Caribbean culture and cuisine. The book also explores the realities of family life and how food can bring them together, as well as the importance of children learning responsibilities.

As well as an easy to follow story the book also contains a lovely recipe that enables children to bring the story more to life. The recipe is easy to follow and helps to expand young tastebuds, as well as introducing them to baking.

I really enjoy these kinds of books which add another element to keep you minds occupied. Not only does it help with literacy skills but also baking.

The writing and vibrant illustrations help to hold their attention. I loved reading this book with my god children who have read it several times now. I think, not only does this book make a great addition to family homes, but it would also be good for schools.
