Not sure if I can write seven hundred words on this book as I read it in 5 mins and it is aimed for a child, but nevertheless it was a good read. The pages are bursting with colour and brilliant illustrations. I think the story itself was a little basic, Faruq wants to learn to cook but his family think he should be a doctor. His neighbour shows him how to make lime cookies in secret and he ends up cooking a feast for all of his family. After seeing how much he enjoys cooking his family are now behind the idea of him learning to cook professionally. I think the best bit about the book are the illustrations. And the addition of the recipe for the lime cookies os a great idea, helps kids back in the kitchen and learning to cook. Definitely going to give the recipe a go myself! This book will make a great present for any budding young chef!
