I loved this book, I thought it was beautifully illustrated and a lovely story. You could almost smell the food cooking as you read and it definitely made me want to try out the lime cookies recipe at the back. I think it's a great story that shows it's okay to be different and not want to necessarily be a particular job when you're older, and it definitely showcases a career in food as something exciting and appealing.
I can see this book appealing to younger readers and older ones as well, and it would be lovely as a great read aloud to share together. The pages are beautiful, and it's lovely how the text moves around the page and is different shapes and sizes to go with the different parts of the story.
