Farouq has a passion for cooking but his family do not understand that this passion has great job opportunities. Instead farouq turns to his neighbour Mrs Joseph and together they develop a friendship based on Mrs Joseph teaching farouq how to cook some classical dishes. The first of which is the lime cookies, which sound so delicious that I was ecstatic to see the recipe was included in the book. Perfect way to get the reader to physically interact and connect with the characters. When Mrs Joseph becomes unwell, farouq take son the challenge of creating a soup that will make her well again. Such an endearing sentiment that will teach the readers compassion and again displays how to pay someone in another form, other than money. Farouq cooks a banquet for his family and Mrs Joseph and this leads to his family understanding his passion has a career potential. A lovely story designed to show strong moralistic values and love and friendship that reaches across the age frontier
