Faruq and the wiri wiri was a good book to read with teeny who is five. She enjoyed the story and pictures and seeing how Faruq learned to cook. She asked a lot of questions throughout and enjoyed learning about other countries traditions. I liked the fact there is a recipe at the end which myself and teeny can't wait to try out and bake. I cant wait to read this book with teenys little sister when she is older as well as I think that it is good for children. Teeny is learning to read at school so is enjoying trying to read along either this, the words in the older characters dialect she struggled but this helped me to explain to her about other cultures. If be interested in buying other books in this series or by the same author to read with the girls aw teeny did enjoy the story and the pictures in it. I would certainly recommend reading this book to your children.
