This is such a fab book. I really enjoyed reading it myself and think my little boy will really love it when he is just a little bit older.
The added bonus of a recipe was a really nice little extra touch and it did inspire me to go out and get the ingredients so that I could give it a go like the boy did in the story.
I'm all for learning about different cultures and backgrounds and I felt this was a really lovely, heartwarming way of learning about the traditions of Faruq and his family.
I feel like maybe the story is a little complex for young children to understand so would definitely recommend it for school aged children rather than preschoolers but overall I think most ages would be able to take something from it (myself being in my 30s and really enjoying making the recipe, so thanks so much)
