My boy really enjoyed Faruq and the Wiri Wiri book and learning about different cultures and their food and traditions. I was actually surprised with the size of the book as it's bigger than I expected. The cover is in bright colours and very inviting. My boy and I enjoy looking at all the colourful beautiful illustrations throughout the book tgat fit the story perfectly. Faruq is a young boy that loves his grandmother and her cooking and always wants to help her cook and dreams to one day become a chef . His neighbour encouraged him to cook and helped him to learn . On the day of the family gathering when his grandmother was supposed to cook a big dinner she suddenly feels unwell and Faruq gets the chance to cook all the food himself with little help from his neighbour and show his family what a great chef he's become and how delicious his food is .
