Love the cover - full of colour and funky detailed illustration. Title makes you pick this book up to find out what a wiri wiri is!
The story was really lovely. It was inspiring and teaches you to follow your dreams no matter what others might say. The descriptions were beautiful. There were lots of expanded noun phrases. It teaches against stereotyping as the boy likes to cook. It also introduces foods from other cultures and it is an added bonus that the book includes a recipe related to the story. I look forward to making them!
