I'm a little unsure about this one. I'm intrigued though, that's for sure. Being set in the 70's (a time I know very little about), I'm a little worried that the story will reference things I can't get all the benefit from. However, the characters are believable and thus far, I haven't felt especially out of my depth. Something I am slightly concerned about is the "dark and brooding alcoholic/drug used police detective" stereotype being present here. I'm hopeful that this will be proved relevant and wrong in the full book though.
