I really enjoyed the first few chapters of this book, although maybe enjoyed is the wrong word considering it's gruesome context!
Unfortunately I havent read the first book in this series which I believe would answer some questions, but I don't think it is imperative to have read it, it would just fill in some gaps and flesh out those main characters a bit more.
This is a thriller/crime/murder mystery and seems well written and presented from what I've seen so far!
