Love the hard hitting Glasgow kiss approach of the author . Set in the 70s this book oozes with crime bloodshed and gore and is not for the faint hearted. The main character Detective Harry McCoy has a shady past and undesirable old school chums which crosses the fine line at times. The plot itself is graphic with descriptions of mutilations and multiple murders but the twists turns and complex characters make this an ideal read, with gangs drugs and murders this book is packed with content . This is the second book based on McCoy and there are quite a few references to his past case . To get the best from this book it would be advisable to read the novels in order so nothing is left from the storyline.
